This is what I need to make backup and restore more flexible in terms of being able to manipulate the backup without having to do extra work on restore.
I did not add any tests, as not sure how that all works with your scripts. I think it would be possible to test it fully in phpunit, but beyond the scope of this PR.
I could add simple set / get tests, but not sure that adds much value.
