Download Android Studio: https://developer.android.com/studio Follow the instructions carefully. Do not choose "SDK Tools only".

Install Android Studio. Note that we currently use Android Studio 4.1, Gradle 6.5 and the Gradle plugins 4.1. We strongly encourage you to immediately follow Google's update messages when you start Android Studio.

If not installed, depending on your OS, you might need to install git from https://git-scm.com/downloads

Configure in Android Studio your Git location in File > Settings > Version Control > Git

Configure in Android Studio your GitHub account in File > Settings > Version Control > GitHub. Here you need your login that you saved in the previous step

If git integration doesn't work out, follow the solution on this webpage: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/16614410/android-studio-checkout-github-error-createprocess-2-windows
