This describes how to wipe your current Minecraft installation and install the Minechem pack. This will remove all profiles, worlds, saved servers, etc. Make backups if you want to use this method, or skip step 1.
- Delete the %APPDATA%/roaming/.minecraft folder.
(Be aware that this wipes out any saved worlds unless you back them up elsewhere.) - Verify that you're running the latest version of java 7 64 bit.
(If you're on Windows, I highly recommend removing any 32bit java installations.) - Run the Minecraft launcher and log in.
- Edit your profile and set the minecraft version to 1.7.10
- Save your profile
- Run Minecraft
- Once you see the Minecraft main menu, quit Minecraft
- Download Forge v10.13.2.1230 from files.minecraftforge.net
- Run the Forge installer
- Install Forge to your .minecraft folder (should be the default option)
- Run the Minecraft launcher and verify that you have a "Forge" profile now
11b) (optional) Rename your Forge profile so you can run multiple versions of Forge if you want - Run Minecraft using the Forge profile, and verify that you're running Forge
(check for a message in the lower left part of the window) - Close Minecraft
- Download the latest version of the MinechemPack from Jenkins
- Extract the "MinechemPack.zip" file directly into your .minecraft folder
- Verify that %APPDATA%/roaming/.minecraft/mods folder has mods in it
- Run the Minecraft launcher
- Run Minecraft using the Forge profile
- You should now be able to connect to the server at "minechem.jakimfett.com"
