Utilizing sox for audio segment extraction would significantly improve processing speed. Additionally, users often manage large Passive Acoustic Monitoring projects with extensive data, some of which may have been previously used for training. My proposed implementation allows users to specify a .txt file containing the names of audio files used for training, ensuring these files are excluded from the segment extraction process.
