Improved shiny app to help in the interpretation of VES. Additional resistivity transformation added to the package. Global optimization algorithms tested and bugs corrected. Stepwise estimation based on residual sum of squares, Akaike information criteria and Bayesian information criteria added to the package.

RVES-0.1

The RVES is a “R” package devoted to automatizing the interpretation of VES (Vertical Electrical Soundings) commonly used in groundwater exploration.

RVES allows to perform the followingt tasks:

• filtering of the apparent resistivity measurements (using smoothing splines, kernel regression and wavelet thresholding).
• Automatic inversion using nonlinear least squares, simulated annealing, genetic algorithms, particle swarm optimization and differential evolution.
