Win10/11 Edit Menu Enabler and Default Program Setter
This program allows users to enable the "Edit" option in the right-click context menu for specific file extensions in Windows 11. It also configures the default program for editing those files by modifying the Windows Registry.
Overview
Windows 10/11 allows you to configure default applications for various file types, but for some file types, the "Edit" menu item is not available by default for some extensions in the context menu. This program enables that functionality for selected file extensions and ensures that the chosen application is set as the default editor.
This is achieved by creating and modifying registry entries for file types, enabling the Edit option, and specifying the default program (e.g., Kate text editor, Notepad, etc.) for the files.
Features
Enable Edit Menu Item: Adds an "Edit" option to the right-click context menu for supported file extensions like .bat, .txt, .log, and others.
Set Default Edit Program: Configures the default program to open the selected file extensions for editing (e.g., Kate, Notepad, etc.).
Registry Modifications: The program writes registry keys that control the behavior of context menu actions for specific file extensions.
Cross-Version Support: The program supports Windows 11 and works on the latest versions, ensuring compatibility.
Note: Download reg folder from master branch and place it to program root folder. And run program as Administrator
