New features

• Move icons: batch relocate multiple icon files of the folder icons.
• Rename icons: batch rename multiple icon files of the folder icons.
• Hide/Unhide icon resources: batch hide/unhide multiple "dekstop.ini" file and "icon.ico" files of the folder icons.

Improvements

• Recursive actions: Added the ability to apply actions to all subfolders (recursive).
• Progress info: Added progress info to the title bar when generating folder icons.
• Custom icon file names: Added a configuration option to set the icon file name.
• Icon remover rules: Added rules to avoid deleting non-.ico files, preventing accidental deletion of important files.
• History Features: Added the ability to save history for the Define Keywords, Rename Icons, and Move Icons menus.
• Keyword Workflow: Added the ability to generate folder icons after specifying keywords in the Define Keywords menu.
• Updated SingleInstanceAccumulator: Updated to v1.0.0.5 – more stable, no false antivirus alerts. (Require Microsoft .NET 8.0)
• Choose template page enhancements:
  • Added an option to activate/deactivate TemplateAlwaysAsk through the Choose Template page.
  • When TemplateAlwaysAsk is active, TemplateTestMode is also active.
• Search folder icon page enhancements: You can now search for folder icons, icons, posters, and logos through the Search Folder Icon page.

Fixes

• Resolved: issue #12 – Network drive/UNC paths not supported. This is including to make Explorer to be able to retrieve icons from remote paths.
• Fixed: "LabelExpected ' @ error/annotate.c/GetMultilineTypeMetrics/804." on Windows 11s, DVDBoxs, and BeOrigin templates.
• Fixed: Couldn't open Choose template and Define keywords menus in the root/drive directory.
• Fixed: "The syntax of the command is incorrect." on the Change folder icon right-click menu.
• Fixed: Unable to use "*" (wildcard only) as a keyword.
• Fixed: Opening Define Keywords from the folder right-click menu didn't display correctly.
• Fixed: In some cases, 'Scan' displayed incorrect results.
• Fixed: "The system cannot find the file specified." error when replacing the folder icon.
• Fixed: TemplateTestMode not working due to the missing "Samples" folder.

Templates

• New template: Kometa (requested in #11)
• NFO File Extractor script: Relocated to /resources/extract-NFO.bat.
• Ratings Option: Added the ability to choose a preferred rating available inside the "*.nfo files".
• Windows 11 Folderify:
  • Removed the "Picture-Opacity" option as it caused transparency to render as black.
  • Added a new "Picture-Drawing=original" configuration to display images as-is (requested in #13).
  • Added configuration to customize shadows.
• Windows 11 A, Cover, and Folderify: Fixed an issue where folder names were not displayed.

How to install

Before installing, if you already have a previous version installed, uninstall it first using the "uninstall.cmd" file.

1. Download the .zip file below (x86 for 32-bit systems, x64 for 64-bit systems).
2. Extract it and place the "RCFI Tools" folder in your desired location. Once installed, you are not allowed to move the folder; otherwise, you'll need to reinstall it.
3. Run the "RCFI Tools.bat", you'll be prompted to allow the script to write to the Registry. Click 'Yes' to proceed with the installation.
4. The 'config.ini' and 'uninstall.cmd' files will be generated. You're all set!

Note: You might need to install Microsoft .NET 8.0 for the SingleInstanceAccumulator to work. This program ensures that selected items in Explorer are accumulated into a single instance instead of creating a new instance for each selected item. You can download it from here: Microsoft .NET 8.0, or simply click "Download it now" when the popup appears.

How to install

If you have installed v0.1, uninstall it first by clicking 'Uninstall.cmd' in its folder.

Installing RCFI Tools v0.2:

1. Download the zip file below.
2. Extract it using the password: 1234.
3. Put the "RCFI Tools" folder somewhere, once it's installed, you are not allowed to move the folder; otherwise you'll have to reinstall it.
4. Open RCFI Tools.bat
5. You'll be prompted to allow the script to write to the Registry. Click 'Yes' to proceed with the installation.
6. There will be 'config.ini' and 'uninstall.cmd' generated. Done.

How to install?

1. Download 'RCFI.Tools.v0.1.zip' and unzip it.
2. Place the 'RCFI Tools v0.1' folder somewhere, open it and double click 'RCFI Tools.bat'
3. You'll be prompted to allow the script to write to the Registry. Click 'Yes' to proceed with the installation.
4. There will be 'config.ini' and 'uninstall.cmd' generated. And.. it's done.

You can access 'Folder Icon Tools' via the right-click menu in Windows Explorer.

Notes:

• The script is not fully tested, there might be a lots of bugs.
• The script regularly reads and writes to its folder for various purposes, like modifying the config.ini, storing generated sample files, and handling temporary files. Therefore, it's not recommended to place it in locations like the 'Windows' folder or 'Program Files' folder, which require Administrator permissions.
• The script is messy cause I'm just an ordinary person on the internet who doesn't know how to write code.
