Still in the conceptualisation phase
It's a well known fact that the exam path is a complicated one. It can often be challenging to figure out when to do what exams, and which classes help to prepare for them. This project aims to be similar to the SOA's integrated pathway tracker with some more custom integrations with respect to dates and classes related to different exams.
This intuitive pathway gives a very good focal point for situating where students are in their exam-writing process. Additionnaly, it can lead to a multitude of study resources.
The idea is to build a similar path but customize it to students. Presently, these are some of the ideas I have rummaging in my head:
- Include some sort of timeline to visualise when students can complete exams.
- For example, MAS-I and MAS-II are given in April and October so students could visually see this and plan in their head.
- Additionally, students could see which exams' content is viewed in which university courses to foresee at what times they can complete exams and how much material they will have to see by themselves.
- There could then be a collection of links not only to the CAS's resources, but other student's resources.
- Students could also then better foresee when in the future they will complete exams and forecast estimated dates for ACAS and FCAS obtention.
- Potentially, some data could be linked in from actuarial-lookup to better prepare students for the potentially more difficult exams.
