I'm Ronan, a software engineer who is interested in software architecture, microservices, containers and cloud-native technology. I'm always keen to learn new technologies and patterns with a focus on delivering clean, well-written, enterprise scale applications developed using sound SOLID principals. I'm a fast learning, high performing, high achiever who likes to see a job done properly following and using best practices.

  • Fluent in most Microsoft Technologies including C#, ASP.NET WebForms/MVC, SQL Server, WinForms, WPF, and WCF.
  • Cloud: Azure, AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation and much more).
  • CI/CD Tools: GitHub Actions, Octopus, Team City, Jenkins.
  • Static Code Analysis: SonarQube, Veracode.

  • Developing modern, cross platform, mobile-first applications using .NET MAUI and Blazor.
  • Strangling a number of old highly coupled monolithics, transforming them into microservices architectures, deployed to multiple environments/accounts using AWS CloudFormation and hosted serverless in AWS Lambda.
