Hasn't there been a time when you listened to song but didn't want to do the work to put that song on your spotify playlist. Cause that happened to me and I wanted to slove it and this is my solution. What SpotMusicGen does is it takes all of the liked songs from your youtube channel and generates a spotify playlist.

### Built With
* Google Auth Oauthlib
* Google's Api Python client
* Youtube_dl
* Spotify's API

## SetUp

1. Install All Dependencies
`pip3 install -r requirements.txt`

2. Get your YouTube Data API Credentials and save it as `user_secret.json`
2. Get your Credentials and save it in `.env`

3. Get your spotify web api oauth token. It needs to be sourced in your environment as `SPOT_AUTH_TOKEN`
https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/credentials

5. Run the File
`python3 create_playlist.py`
https://developer.spotify.com/dashboard/applications

you'll immediately see `Please visit this URL to authorize this application: <some long url>`
click on it and log into your Google Account to collect the `authorization code`

3. Add redirect uri in the edit settings for spotify

4. Run the File
`python3 main.py`

5. Enter the playlist id and the name you want it to be on spotify

## ToDo
* Tests
* Add Error Handling
* Add a feature for Soundcloud

* Add a Voice Assitant that will play/stop/repeat music for you while you are coding
# Trouble Shooting
Spotify Oauth token expires very quickly, If you come across a `KeyError` this could be caused by an expired token. So just refer back to step 3 in local setup, and generate a new token!

* Add a Voice Assistant that will play/stop/repeat music for you while you are coding
