This is similar to what Stefan Glienke did in Spring4D

I think that if everything will be tested and prove to work correctly then all of the commits could be deleted leaving only release ones (tagged)

Thanks, I'm actually in a process of migrating the base repo to GitLab so I'll keep Bitbucket as a mirror and move the main repo to GitLab. The main reason is to enable CI builds and tests and GL has easily configurable pipelines (not that BB or GH didn't have CIs available but I'm already familiar with GL and have runners set up for a lot of platforms ;-) ).

GitLab is an option, yup. If desired i can add it to directly support it as external timeline without bitbucket or something. But i'll need to find a timeframe.
