I recommend installing Mod Menu, so you can access the Settings.
To get dynamic Lighting on skulls, projectiles and appropriate enemies, install LambDynamicLights as well. (this is optional)

I would not recommend putting this mod into modpacks (you can ofc, but it will probably cause issues). Compatibility with other mods is very low on my priority list, unless they're very common performance mods like for example Sodium.
