Growl(Software)
Growl is a notification tool software for early and late versions of MacOS on Intel processors. The project reached a finished state in 2012, and improvements were made by the community from the on. As of Thursday, September 16th at 9:58 pm, the last commit was on 2020 November 25th
Growl has had 1 controversy, due to Adobe bundling the software without the users consent. This was not the Growl developers fault, it was mostly Adobe. Adobe later offered to give removal instructions and stop bundling it.

WacOS will support Growl if it is capable of running on a Linux machine, although an alternative won't be personally developed.
