     1. keep abbreviations like _opn instead of _output_noise in model names (consistent with all other names being abbreviations)
     2. rate_connection_delayed instead of delayed_rate_connection, appears joint in alphabetical listings.
     3. no quotes around variable names in exception strings
     4. keep set_drift_factor instead of set_drift_weight to avoid confusion with all other factors giving a final weight.
